LUCID8 INTRODUCES DIGISCOPE—AN EFFICIENT NEW E-DISCOVERY & RECOVERY TOOL FOR MICROSOFT EXCHANGE

Available now, DigiScope is a simple yet powerful, efficient, and cost-effective tool for e-Discovery and Recovery.

With e-mail serving as the virtual ‘filing system’ in many corporate environments, the need for retrieval and electronic discovery of historical and live data stored in e-mail repositories like Exchange has increased enormously.

DigiScope provides simple navigation and powerful searching of raw unmounted Exchange Server 2000, 2003 and 2007 databases so that Administrators can find the recoverable information that they need and then restore or export that information with a single click of a button.

DigiScope also brings simple yet powerful e-Discovery capabilities with powerful, flexible search parameters, including: From, To, Subject Contains and Attachment Type, as well as any combination of fields that can be seen within Microsoft® Outlook®, and some that are not normally available. E-Discovery can be used against live Exchange 2000, 2003 and 2007 production servers, as well as against raw unmounted data stores restored to disk from tape or CDP backups. The selected information can be moved to a live server or exported to XML, PST or MSG formats easily and quickly. The Administrator or E-Discovery specialist simply needs to know: what to look for, where to look and where to put the data once it’s found. DigiScope can drill-down directly into the raw database—without the need for a live Exchange server environment and can even search inside many common documents attached to e-mails. Data that has been backed up via any 3rd party archive/backup solution can be restored to an accessible location and then browsed or searched for fast and easy information retrieval. Data backed-up with Lucid8’s DigiVault™ is even easier to retrieve—DigiScope can directly access DigiVault’s up-to-the-minute data protection repository- to rapidly retrieve the latest information. External PST files are also accessible and multiple files can be mounted and searched at the same time.

DigiScope fundamentally changes the landscape for e-Discovery; making e-mail e-Discovery easier, faster, and, ultimately, much less expensive to:

• find messages or track communication from current or previous users for review, regulatory compliance, legal hold or other reasons;

• recover specific mailboxes, folders, messages, contacts, appointments, or other Exchange related items that have been deleted and can't be retrieved via the deleted-items-recovery option;

• move mailboxes from a failed server to an alternate server;

• recover a public folder whose only copy has been deleted;

• retrieve e-mail items that have become corrupt;
